A programme of visual checks, regular inspections and servicing schedules are established in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions, UK regulatory guidance and the risks associated with every piece of machinery and safety equipment. Note: Lifting Operations and Lifting Equipment Regulations 1998 (LOLER), require thorough equipment-examinations at least every six months by a competent person.
The Ascendi Cherry Picker Hire fleet includes telescopic boom lifts (often called straight stick boom lifts) and articulated booms – providing access up-over and above obstacles, often called outreach, and a safe working environment for the operator at height.
Ascendi articulated boom lifts reach heights from 10m – 45m and have a large range of movement with sideways outreach. Ascendi stick boom lifts (straight telescopic booms) reach heights from 15 up to 60 metres.
Elevated work platforms
Mobile elevating work platforms (MEWP) are a types of ‘plant’, or equipment that facilitate working at height. They consist of a working platform on an extending structure and chassis, with controls for operation. Ascendi can deliver MEWP working heights ranging from 3.6m to 61m.
